"Open Educational Resources (OERs) can mean many things to different people, but at the center of OERs is the desire to connect people with information that can improve their understanding of the world around them through open course ware, textbooks, and other supplemental educational materials. They are open source electronic materials that can be re-used for the purposes of instruction or for supplemental course materials through open licensing that would otherwise be inaccessible with copyright alone.  The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is conducting a short survey regarding the prevalence of OERs at other institutions. We are curious to find out whether your institution has considered OERs and, if you have, what actions your campus has taken in creating an OER...."
