"From the 1st April 2013, authors publishing in Elsevier open access journals will be compliant with the new Research Councils UK (RCUK) open access policy or, if funding is not available to publish open access, can comply by self-archiving their accepted author manuscripts after journal-specific embargo periods. ...For authors funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) or the Medical Research Council (MRC) Elsevier will: Deposit the final published journal article in PMC, and to PMC mirror sites such as EuropePMC, on behalf of the author.  The version that appears in PMC will bear a CrossMark that links back to the authoritative version of record that will be widely disseminated via Science Direct.  For authors funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Elsevier will: Deposit the final published journal article in the ESRC Research Catalogue.  The version that appears in the catalog will bear a CrossMark that links back to the citable version of record on ScienceDirect."
