Abstract in Google's English: "Identify and propose strategies for success in the creation of digital educational content repositories (learning objects and other teaching materials and teaching support) in universities, adapting to their special characteristics and needs for management, preservation and life cycle, which distinguish them from the research materials and require a differentiated approach....Analysis of the main barriers and challenges that have been identified for implementation and adoption of educational content repositories in the literature and on previous experience at international level. Selection of the most common barriers and identifying the strategies implemented successfully in other repositories....Have been selected and proposed a set of nine success strategies that place emphasis on socio-cultural barriers associated with the sharing and reuse of educational materials, they are the most common and difficult to manage. Success means that repositories be adopted by potential users: teachers, students and authors of educational content, contributing and reusing materials, and impact on the improvement of teaching and learning. In most Spanish universities, the attention devoted to educational content in institutional repositories is still insufficient or not suited to their special characteristics and habits of production and use. We need a change of perspective in which academic libraries should take an active role in raising awareness and promoting the importance of this intellectual heritage in digital format...."
