A TA article on Vitek Tracz's plans for using Faculty of 1000 to change peer review. Along the way, there's a lot of good history of BMC and Tracz' involvement in OA. Excerpt: "[The problem of OA] is solved in the sense that in a few years, all new papers are going to be open access and available for free. Today it is six months --yesterday it was a year. I promise you, within a year or two, it will be zero, because it is not worth it. It is better for the publishers to make it immediate. They keep on trying to defend the subscription model, but it is collapsing around their ears...."
