"Digital openness will encourage more Qatari IT developers to build more original Arabic content websites and applications with the assurance that their technological innovations are being protected. Dr Hessa Al-Jaber, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQatar), emphasized this in her speech at the forum on “Digitally Open: Innovation and Open Access Forum” held yesterday at the Al Sharq Village and Spa. The forum were jointly organised by ictQatar and Creative Commons, a non profit organisation working in over 70 countries around the world that has developed flexible licences to address the complicated issue of content rights in the digital world...."
