OJS Continues to Grow | Public Knowledge Project

Connotea Imports 2012-07-31

Summary:

"Our OJS [Open Journal Systems] tracker has found at least 7000 installations from around the world as of [October]....Some of these are traditional scholarly journals, but we've discovered that OJS is being used in many unexpected ways, too. Some of these 7000 include conference proceedings, reports, learning management systems, monographs, and more. Some will publish on a regular schedule, and others may only publish a single issue. While this may fall outside of what we consider a traditional journal to be, it is very exciting to see OJS contributing to an expansion of available scholarship and knowledge."
