Milestones: Microsoft Academic Search (Beta) Passes 7 Million Documents Indexed

Connotea Imports 2012-07-31

Summary:

"About 11 months ago ResourceShelf posted about Microsoft's Academic Search (Beta). Important. THIS IS NOT the same technology that was around a few years ago to search academic/scholarly material. That subpar service was named Live Academic. Today, MS Academic Search continues to grow. It's being developed by Microsoft Research Asia....We don't officially know Google Scholar's totals but our best guess is that Google Scholar is larger but who knows what another year of MS Academic will have us talking about in September, 2011...."
