Connotea Imports 2012-07-31

Summary:

"A short time ago, details of the third generation of the DINI Certificate for Document and Publication Services were published. The full-text version is available here [link]. The new version...pays closer attention to the Golden Road to Open Access (primary publication in an OA journal) and to the increasing virtualisation of the technical implementation of document and publication services....[T]he [DINI] guidelines for the OAI interface have been revised in order to bring them into line with the DRIVER Guidelines. The individual criteria have been structured more clearly and uniformly, thereby enhancing the convergence between the catalogue of criteria and the application questionnaire. This should make the certification procedure easier for all concerned. As the holder of a DINI Certificate, your repository would have a widely recognised seal of quality that would make the excellence of your service clearly visible to authors, users, funders and the managers of your institution...."
