University of Ottawa Press launches innovative open access collection

"The University of Ottawa Press is pleased to announce the launch of a new open access collection that supports free and unrestricted access to scholarly research. As of July 30, 2010, a total of 36 UOP books will be available free to the online community, an initiative under the UOP’s digital publishing plan. The collection consists of both French-language and English-language in-print titles in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The UOP is proud to take part in the University of Ottawa’s open access program, which includes a commitment to make research easier to consult through its institutional repository, to provide funds to researchers aiming to publish their work in open access journals, and to award grants for research on the open access movement...."
