Scribd hedges bets on mobile electronic readers

"Scribd Inc. is rolling out a new feature on its Web site Wednesday that let users send [OA] reading material directly to a wide variety of smart phones, including the iPhone and Android-based devices, and dedicated e-readers such as the Kindle, Barnes & Noble's Nook, the IREX Digital Reader and the Sony Reader. Scribd co-founder Trip Adler said the new 'send-to-device' feature is 'a major step forward in our strategy to provide open access to Scribd content.'..."
