Summary:

"The purpose of this guide is to help institutions understand the key aims and issues associated with planning and implementing research data management (RDM) services. It explains the components and processes of RDM services and describes the roles and responsibilities of those who will deliver and use them. The guide is informed by experiences from the Jisc Managing Research Data (MRD) programme and the DCC’s Institutional Engagements It has been written for anyone working in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) who has an active stake in the generation, management or sharing of research data. This includes university management, support and administrative services and researchers.
