"As a part of its work on negotiating the Total Cost of Ownership with journal publishers, in early 2014 Jisc Collections collected some data on article processing charge (APC) payments paid by a sample of UK higher education institutions (HEIs). Jisc Collections have made anonymised aggregated copies of this data available, which has helped to raise awareness of the amount of money being paid for APCs, especially to certain publishers who also receive large sums in subscription costs. Jisc Collections has also released non-anonymised data from some institutions (e.g. Imperial, University of Liverpool, and University of Sheffield) ..."
