2012 IEEE [Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers] International Conference on Technologies for Homeland Security Tuesday, November 13, 2012 to Thursday, November 15, 2012 Waltham, MA

"This year's event will showcase selected technical papers and posters highlighting emerging technologies in the areas of cyber security; land and maritime border security; biometrics and forensics; and attack and disaster preparation, recovery and response. Sponsors: Produced by IEEE with technical support from DHS S&T [Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate], IEEE Biometrics Council, IEEE Boston Section, and IEEE-USA and organizational support from MIT [Massachusetts Institute of Technology] Lincoln Laboratory, Raytheon, Battelle, and MITRE.

They are currently seeking technical paper, poster, and tutorial session submissions in each area above. Submissions should focus on technologies with applications available for implementation within five years. All areas will cover the following common topics: strategy and threat characterization, CONOPs [Concept of Operations], risk analysis; modeling, simulation, experimentation, and training, and testbeds, standards, and evaluations."
