WHITE HOUSE: Slapping tariffs on steel imports hammers energy sector

President Trump will soon have an opportunity to make good on his pledge to stand up for American-made steel. But U.S. intervention in a global commodity market would mean higher prices on steel needed for building bridges, autos, appliances and energy infrastructure, from wind turbines to offshore platforms, oil drilling tubes, pipelines and natural gas generators.
