This week a Shanghai man offered a “girlfriend share” so he could raise money to buy an iPhone 6.
He advertised the deal near the Songjiang University campus, with pictures of him and his sign hitting Chinese social media yesterday. The Bastille Post reported that his motivation was to be able to afford Apple’s new handset.

The girlfriend was supposedly in on the plan, with the man offering hourly, daily and monthly deals.
The sign read: “Sharing girlfriend for pocket money. 10RMB [£1] per hour, 50RMB per day, 500RMB a month. If you are interested, connect to personal hotspot ‘wifi sharing master’ to check out the girlfriend.”
