The Managing Editor will have an interest in open access and a track-record of successfully managing and developing scholarly journals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing editorial and financial performance and development of a list of Open Access journals
• Recruiting and working with external academic editors
• and maintaining a strong network of contacts
• Representing the Open Access division at board meetings, international conferences and relevant industry events
• Supervising members of the publishing team
• Working collaboratively with internal colleagues
• Helping to manage departmental administration"
