"The Research Council seeks to ensure that important research findings from Norwegian humanities and social sciences are published via high-calibre scientific publication channels. Much of the research conducted within these disciplines is targeted at historical, social and cultural issues in Norway and the Nordic region. Therefore, the Research Council provides funding for the publication of key Norwegian scientific journals and scientific books by recognised Norwegian academic publishing houses that appear on the Norwegian Association of Higher Education’s list of authorised publication channels."
