"The high price of textbooks is often the bane of an undergraduate's college finances, but for some San Jacinto College students, educational materials are about to get a whole lot cheaper - as in free.

The college will pilot use of free digital course materials during the spring 2017 semester before rolling out a full general studies associate degree program the following fall that will make exclusive use of the resources."
