"JOB PURPOSE:

Available for 15 hours per week, to be responsible to the Faculty Librarian (Engineering & Physical Sciences) for the performance of a range of duties associated with support for open access (OA) and the service to readers in the McClay Library.

MAJOR DUTIES:

1. Coordinating the payment of article processing charges (APCs) including liaising with researchers, publishers, funders and the Acquisitions Department.

2. Administering the Research Councils UK (RCUK) OA Block Grant and the Charity Open Access Fund (COAF).

3. Administering the Library’s OA prepayment and membership schemes.

4. Processing gold OA institutional repository (IR) submissions.

5. Assisting the Open Access Officer and IR Officer in providing user support and developing associated documentation.
