"Job Purpose:​ The Scholarly Communications Program Leader delivers thought leadership and vision, including high­level community facilitation, membership development, relationship building (across and within communities), and implementation support for scholarly communications work and research undertaken by Educopia and its hosted communities.

Responsibilities Include:

● Oversees the ongoing operations of Educopia’s Affiliated Communities that are focused on scholarly communications: Library Publishing Coalition (LPC), Coerced Migration Research Alliance (CMRA)

● Recruits new members and integrates them smoothly into these communities

● Works with Affiliated Community leadership to ensure the growth and sustainability of each community

● Coordinates and cultivates subgroups within each Affiliated Community to engage and involve members in ongoing research, development, and documentation work

● Provides operational, fiscal, and policy and procedural guidance to the LPC and the CMRA

● Oversees program planning and goal­setting for Educopia’s scholarly communications communities

● Guides support staff who provide support in communications, coordination, network monitoring, and other tasks

● Develops and manages research initiatives supporting the goals of the scholarly communications communities hosted by Educopia, including the recently awarded, IMLS­funded “Developing a Curriculum to Advance Library Publishing” project, which begins this Fall.

● Researches and analyzes scholarly communications issues and provides thought leadership on how to leverage community­based work to advance the state of the field

● Builds and sustains strong relationships with strategic affiliates for each community"
