Summary:

"The project, Halifax’s Literary Landmarks: Exploring Atlantic Canada’s urban blue/green spaces, champions early (eighteenth- and long nineteenth-century) Halifax literature. It also asserts the important role of blue/green spaces (characterized by salt and freshwater/vegetation) in making Atlantic Canadian cities healthy and liveable. The project achieves these two objectives via methods accessible to academic and non-academic audiences. The project team will create an audio literary tour of Halifax’s urban blue/green spaces available via a free, publicly accessible mobile application, which will be supported by a website and contextualized by open-access scholarly outputs.

The mobile application developer will have primary responsibility of developing the mobile app but will receive technical and other support from the multidisciplinary project team. There will be opportunities to participate in knowledge mobilization and dissemination activities (such as collaborative publishing)."
