"The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has made an announcement encouraging investigators to use interim research products like preprints to fasten the dissemination of knowledge. The NIH has also clarified the reporting instructions to allow investigators to cite their interim research products. The announcement lays strong emphasis on making them publicly available and reducing copyright related restrictions by either adopting Creative Commons Attribution Licence or by releasing the products in public domain."
