lkfitz's bookmarks 2017-07-28

Summary:

"This session will cover the basic of Open Access, addressing what is meant by the terms ‘Green Open Access’ and ‘Gold Open Access’, and covering the basics of how to achieve these, including at what stage in the publication process (on acceptance) one ought to include these simple, yet necessary steps. We will cover the groundwork of the Open Access Block Grants managed by the School (RCUK & COAF, which includes the Wellcome Trust) and discuss how to ensure that the Open Access requirements of funder’s are met, which is largely covered by asking the journal to publish your work with a CC-BY (also called the ‘Attribution’) licence."
