"The Associate Dean of Libraries is a dynamic and innovative leader who understands the role of academic libraries in a research university and has a vision for the library’s research and learning role in the growth of NDSU as a research institution. The Associate Dean works collaboratively with all library staff on developing a vision for the Libraries and provides management and personnel administration of the Business Learning Center, Health Sciences Library, and Architectural Studies Library (Branches); Government Information; Research and Instruction; and Special Collections. The Associate Dean leads efforts to increase support for the Libraries and advocates for the Libraries regionally and nationally. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of Libraries.

Duties

  • Support for developing information literacy programming across campus.
  • Develops and coordinates policies, programming, and outreach for the Libraries’ scholarly communication program.
  • Educates faculty, staff, students and administrators to raise awareness about scholarly communication issues.
  • Provides guidance and leadership on publishing options, author rights, copyright, and Open Access."
