Summary:

"How is the position of Indonesian journals at international level? We will answer it using the inclusiveDOAJ database. There are 500 Indonesian journals (5th rank), 420 journals of them are using Indonesianlanguage, with more than 51,000 articles (7th rank). The top there fields are: education, Islam religion, andbusiness and commerce. The massive number of scientific journals is our strength. Therefore Indonesian authors need to have moreself confidence to write better using Indonesian language. Additionally, extended abstracts and slides inEnglish can be attached to get more English speaking readers. The impacts are: the sum of Indonesia paperswill increase and interests to submit to questionable journals will decrease. This movement should beshared to all ASEAN countries, because science is inclusive, equal, original, and honest. Hence, theministry of research and higher education need to expand research impact metrics for better academicatmosphere in Indonesia."
