"The California State University, Los Angeles University Library seeks a creative, collaborative and user-centered librarian to develop and implement strategies that guide the ways in which the library acquires, manages and provides access to library collections and resources that support and advance the research and curricular needs of the University. With a materials budget in excess of $1.5 million, the Collections Strategies Librarian will provide leadership for the management, development and assessment of the library’s collections, including the planning and implementation of the library’s institutional repository. The incumbent will bring a forward-thinking, innovative and strategic perspective in the library’s approach to collection development that is both learner-centered and responsive to the University’s curriculum. The librarian will exercise broad independent judgement under the general direction of the Associate Dean, and with guidance from the Dean."
