"The role of Project Coordinator is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s leading academic publishers, and to help drive our progress in the rapidly evolving area of open research. In this role, you will be contributing to and managing projects in support of Springer Nature's open research strategy and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Research and project work
    • Keep up-to-date with developments in open research and provide ongoing open research market information and analysis to support the Open Research Group and Springer Nature’s wider open access activities and positioning, including qualitative analysis of the OA funding, policy and competitor landscape.
    • Assist on and manage wider open research projects as required.
  • Open access policy and partnerships
    • Contribute to development of Springer Nature’s open access policies as required.
    • Project manage internal policy reviews and create clear documentation, including slide decks, to communicate policy proposals and approved policies.
    • Provide information and analysis on internal and external OA policy to support funder and institutional OA partnerships and licensing agreements.
  • Training and support
    • Work with the OA Policy team to ensure the wider business is kept up-to-date with external developments in the OA market, including funding, policy, and competitor initiatives, through reports, presentations, and training sessions"
