Summary:

"You always wondered how to be more collaborative in science? Someone talked about GitHub and you got curious? An undergrad in your lab used "R" and finished a task you assigned him for the day in 5 minutes? You are an undergrad and wonder why no one in your lab works with code?

Come join us!  We are hosting occasional Meet-Ups around open, collaborative and reproducible scientific methods. Anyone is welcome, from long-time pro to true beginner. Just bring your laptop and some enthusiasm!  We will have a look at Python, GitHub, R etc. and during each Meetup someone will present his/her work and there will be lots and lots of room for discussions!"
