Online: EUA-CDE Doctoral Education Bulletin on Open Access

"The EUA Council on Doctoral Education (EUA-CDE) has just released the latest edition of its Bulletin. Normally reserved for members only, this special edition, 'On the Cutting Edge of Research: The Open Access Challenge', is openly available.

Last year, EUA-CDE released 'Taking Salzburg Forward', which contains guidelines on tackling the most important challenges for doctoral education in the coming years. One of these is digitalisation and its impact on doctoral education and research training, notably the relevance and impact of Open Access (OA).  Therefore, this edition of the Bulletin offers a collection of expert opinions on the challenges and benefits of OA and its future evolution. It also provides some practical advice on different aspects of OA, including research data. The Bulletin was presented at the 10th EUA-CDE workshop 'Ethics and integrity in doctoral education and research training', which is underway at the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa in Portugal.  The digital version  of this special edition Bulletin is openly available on the EUA and EUA-CDE websites.
