Summary:

"Awareness of Open Educational Resources (OER) and purposes for offering and adopting OER and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) were analyzed based on a detailed survey of higher education across the nation conducted in 2015. A comparison with similar studies conducted in 2013 revealed that awareness of OER and the number of MOOC offered has increased since then. The study showed that, whereas OER is used to improve learning environment for students, the primary objectives of MOOC are to make a lifelong learning and promotion."
