Summary:

"Digital data is easy to distribute, but can disappear easily when websites change. Join us for a one-day event as we locate data to archive from the federal government and find ways to archive what web crawlers cannot grab. The best part is that you don't need programming skills to participate — just the ability to use the Internet.

DataRescue New Haven will be held at Yale University on March 4, 2017, from 9 AM to 4 PM in the TEAL Classroom (17 Hillhouse Ave.). Feel free to arrive late or leave early--we appreciate any time you can volunteer for this event. Refreshments will be provided for participants. Please bring your own laptop.

This event is modeled on the national DataRefuge movement organized by EDGI and Penn's Program in the Environmental Humanities and on DataRescue events at institutions around the United States."
