"The NIOD is looking for a modern Information Specialist who performs both work on the international project Parthenos ( www.parthenos-project.eu ) in which the NIOD participates, as the NIOD itself. Parthenos is a research infrastructure for the Digital Humanities and is funded by the EU Programme Horizon 2020. The aim is to arrive at common standards, policies and tools.

Tasks Within Parthenos (0.5 FTE), it is your job to do in an international context and from a clearly defined project investigating transnational access, training, standardization and data policies and open access. The emphasis is on participation in the work package 'Skills, Professional Development and Advancement.

The NIOD (0.3 FTE) there are challenges in the collection connection to the possibilities that has the digital world. Within the line organization of the NIOD you are asked to advise regarding digital processes and new capabilities, and to assist in its implementation. You hereby given different roles, from consultant to project manager.

You will work under the responsibility of the Head of Collections & Services of the NIOD.

For work within Parthenos you fall under the functional supervision of the responsible project manager. You enter your search together with (inter) national partners. You are also willing to travel for this task.

Job requirements, knowledge and experience

• Master Digital Humanities, Information Science or equivalent.
• Experience in providing training is a plus.
• Knowledge of open access, open data, Intellectual Property Rights and standards within the Digital Humanities.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in automation processes and techniques.
• Affinity with the work of the NIOD.
• Experience with digital collections is a plus.
• Active command of English.
• Knowledge of and experience with international projects."
