The Library & Archives Service seeks to provide excellent information-related services, resources, and support to the School’s staff and students, and to contribute to a creative and supportive working environment in line with the School’s values.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Research Publications Manager to develop, deliver, and promote Scholarly Communications across the institution, including Open Access publishing, dissemination of research outputs, and guidance and training on copyright. The post holder manages LSHTM Research Online, the School’s research publications repository, and oversees compliance with funder requirements around Open Access.  

The successful candidate will hold a recognised postgraduate qualification Library & Information Services, proven experience of effectively delivering support for open access publishing and of managing an institutional repository, and demonstrable knowledge of best practice and innovation in scholarly communication and of the administration of article processing charges. The post holder should possess excellent communication skills, and be service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and the ability to take responsibility are also essential.

The post is full-time and permanent. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 6 scale in the range £37,889 to £43,028 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
