Summary:

"Dear network members,

We are happy about the current momentum at Open Knowledge International and are excited to share more news on this with all of you! With 2016 now several months behind us, it is a good time to take a look back and inform you on our achievements last year, and the range of activities we have been involved in. 2016 was an exciting year for us: we achieved significant milestones in improving the role of data in society, opened new chapters and local groups and spun off our commercial services arm Viderum. You can read the full report here - 2016.okfn.org. 2017 is already off to a great start with the announcement of a two-year grant from Omidyar Network to support the implementation of our civil society-focused strategy. Our primary focus this year will be on improving the quality of the open data that is currently published. We are also looking to re-focus our network strategy so that we will make sure we meet your needs in the best way.   We hope you will find this 2016 Annual Report interesting, and look forward to hearing your updates throughout 2017! Yours sincerely, The Open Knowledge International Team"
