Summary:

"Our University considers open access publishing of great importance. As of 1 January 2017 we have a Green Open Access policy to encourage researchers to publish open access. So open up to open access and put yourself out there in the scholarly world.

Tremendous reach, more citations

It has become extremely simple: your publications freely accessible with tremendous reach. You can publish open access without any additional cost in many journals from major publishers. By publishing open access you encourage the recirculation of knowledge in both science and education, health care, public administration and other fields. Thanks to open access citizens and scientists worldwide can obtain your articles and therewith high quality information for free. Your research will reach many more people and be cited more often.

Renowned journals

Open access publishing has become a lot easier. During the past two years, universities have made agreements with publishers including Springer, Taylor & Francis and Elsevier about funding open access publishing. So far, more than 7,000 titles including over 4,000 with an impact factor and 1,100 'Q1 journals' are covered by these big deals. In addition, there are numerous other journals and repositories in which open access publishing is possible at no additional cost. Consequently, open access publishing with ease in renowned journals has become possible in many cases.
