Summary:

"Cambridge University Press is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new Open Access journal, Personality Neuroscience. The journal aims to be the primary outlet for publications on the neuroscience of individual differences.

Personality neuroscience is a new field, emerging in the past ten years, using neuroscientific techniques to examine the causal basis of personality and related factors. The differences between individuals have important consequences for a wide range of behaviours, including clinical disorders, occupational choice/performance, and economic behaviour. In recognition of this importance, the field of personality, intelligence and, more generally, individual differences, is now growing.

Personality Neuroscience aims to capture and define this growing area of study and is the first of its kind to specialize in, and to seek out papers from, neuroscientists, with a focus on personality theory. It takes a broad perspective on neuroscience, including genetics, as well as genes x environmental interactions, and psychometric studies which are aimed at neuroscience-level constructs."
