New Open Access Requirements - ALS

lterrat's bookmarks 2017-05-31

Summary:

"To comply with DOE’s Public Access Plan, Berkeley Lab must ensure that open-access versions of publications co-authored by Lab employees are included in DOE’s open-access system.

As LBNL employees are DOE funded, all publications that they co-author are subject to this open-access requirement. If you co-author work with a Lab scientist, please note that the scientist may ask you for an open-access version of the manuscript. The open-access version may be a copy of the published version of the paper if open-access fees have been paid or the journal otherwise permits it, a link to permanently open-access version at a journal or other repository, or the author’s final peer-reviewed manuscript.

We request that you cooperate with our scientists in a timely fashion and provide manuscripts to satisfy this DOE requirement when asked."
