"Under the supervision of Section Head (Research Support), the appointee will work with a team of professional librarians to develop services and projects which support and promote the University’s research strategy.

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide advisory services to researchers on finding high quality research content and staying up-to-date with new developments regarding research advancement and scholarly communication;

(b) support the needs of the faculty in scholarly communication including promoting new forms of scholarly communication, dissemination and preservation of research output, and bibliographical citation management tools;

(c) support academic departments and faculty members on matters pertaining to citation analysis, research impact measurement, data management, copyright and open access, etc.;

(d) assist the Head of Research Support in various projects and service development initiatives for the section;

(e) serve as the Faculty Librarian of the assigned Faculties/Schools;

(f) perform shift duties; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or her delegates."
