Open Data: Gedanken über Qualität | geoObserver

Summary:

"You can find an interesting blog entry on data quality with open data  at Open Knowledge International . In the article 'Open data quality - the next shift in open data?' Some interesting aspects are discussed, For example the variety of existing quality indicators as potential preventors in the improvement of the data quality or the following incomplete indicators according to GODI:

  • Completeness of the record content *
  • Accessibility (access control or public access?)
  • Usability of the data
  • Processability (machine readability and effort for the use of data)
  • Timely publication **

* ... I rather see this: who is waiting for 100% data, probably never published; 80% data is better than 0% (you just have to mark it!)"
