Summary:

"On 7 September, we’re holding our first Auckland event, 'The Future of Open Data in Aotearoa', at the Biz Dojo @GridAKL in the Wynyard Quarter. The event will begin at 3pm, and will be followed by drinks and canapés.

Featuring Government Statistician Liz MacPherson, NZ Herald Data Editor Harkanwal Singh and our CEO Ed Corkery, we’ll be taking a critical eye to the past, present and future of open government data.

Why are we doing this? As a company, we’ve been helping agencies to publish their open data for years. The Koordinates platform has supported Creative Commons licensing since the late 2000s, and many of our staff members have been longstanding advocates for greater release of open government data and information."
