"Welcome to a lunch seminar to hear more about Open access publishing. The seminar is primarily aimed at PhD students, but all interested are welcome. Presentations will be held in English. Lunch sandwiches and hot coffe/the will be served.
One of the strategies in Uppsala University Mission and core values states: 'Research results will be made available in open access channels, wherever possible.' Many funding agencies have policies about open access publishing. An increasing number of research funders also have policies concerning research data. Open access publishing can be accomplished in several ways in order to make your research results freely available. You can either publish in a journal or other kind of publication without open access and deposit a copy in an open archive like DiVA (self-archiving), or publish in a journal with open access."
