"n February 2017, the Executive Board conducted a survey among ETH Zurich’s scientific staff on the topic of open access. This should then form the basis for the future support of academic publishing at ETH Zurich in the interests of research. The survey had the following objectives:

1. The results of this survey are intended to help the existing ETH Zurich services become even better oriented in the open-access area to the requirements of academics and the parameters of research funders.
2. For ETH Zurich, the results also form an important basis for a strategic and political discussion on the development of open access."
