"By some chance, the other day I came across one of those online conferences which gets announced every once in a way. It’s fun to join in. It takes little effort (you just need to be at your computer at the right time of the day or night). You barely add to global warming by joining in. And you are not wasting too many resources (environmental or otherwise) while gaining some useful knowledge too. But technology can also be a block. It lets you down when you depend on it the most. Sometimes, the software tools you need to log on can stop you from joining such an event; which is exactly what happened in my case."
