Summary:

"Imagine a mad scientist is trying to take over the town, and you and your friends are the only ones who can crack the code and stop him. In an upcoming escape room simulation presented by the library for Open Access Week, students can do just that. According to Kimberly Stelter, first-year experience librarian, this four-day event is about giving greater access to students. “Open Access Week is about opening up a number of resources they have access to,” Stelter said. According to the Open Access Week website, the global event is entering its eighth year and gives the academic and research communities the opportunity to continue learning. Stelter said the library is wanting to students to become more familiar with this information in a fun way. “It’s about learning and teaching in a different way, ” Stelter said. “I love games for learning, it’s gamifying education.”
