"Wednesday 4 July 2018, Frédérique VIDAL, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation unveiled the National Open Science Plan at the annual conference of the League of European Research Libraries ( LIBER ).

France adopts an ambitious policy in 3 axes:

1. Generalize open access to publications

2. Structure and open research data

3. Join a sustainable dynamic, European and international

The plan is worth € 5.4m the first year, then € 3.4m per year.
