Urheberrecht: Wem "gehören" Forschungsdaten? (Who "research data" includes?)

"The concept of ownership of German law is - at least to the prevailing view - limited to physical objects. Insofar as research data are manifested in material objects (such as in a find object or a soil sample), the legal classification is clear: it is property property and the owner may - subject to the rights of third parties - dispose of it freely."
