"On Tuesday, 4 September 2018, 11 national research funding bodies, with the support of the European Commission, including the European Research Council (ERC), announced the launch of COAlition S, an initiative to make free access a reality to research publications. It is built around Plan S, which includes a target and 10 principles, which the eleven organizations forming the coalition agreed to implement in a coordinated manner."
