The European Consolidation "Coalition S" has published a revised draft of its "PlanS". Sponsors who are members of the initiative now only want to finance articles in journals offering a publication on open access. The paper basically resembles a proposal from autumn last year . However, supporters should get more time and flexibility in implementation.

By January 2021, the plans of the initiative are to take effect. Initially, 2020 was planned. In addition to pure open access publications, the subscription model should continue to be possible according to the new draft. In doing so, academic institutions conclude subscriptions or licenses for magazines with publishers."
