"Participation stands for the fundamental vision of Open Access and refers to the great potential that underlies most Open Access initiatives.
Under the motto participation, very specific questions can be formulated that are important or promising for Open Access:
- How is economic participation shaped against the background of the changes in the OA landscape through read & publish contracts and initiatives such as Plan S?
- How can non-commercial publication initiatives or non-university authors participate in the scientific discourse against the background of these initiatives and contracts?
- How can social participation in scientific knowledge through OA look like? And which social participation opportunities are promoted by OA?
- How can less privileged countries actively participate in global scientific discourse?
Submissions on other open access topics are of course also possible.
