[Google translate] Citizen science meets the researcher's night: a promising partnership.

The concepts of "open science", "participatory research" and "science" have recently become more and more established. (citizen science) which refer to new ways of carrying out research in many fields, from ecology to social sciences, climatology and astronomy, from neuroscience to medicine, and information technology. Although the first experiences of citizen science date back to the mid-nineteenth century, today, thanks to the new digital technologies, citizen science is increasingly establishing itself as an approach that can provide effective monitoring systems and increasingly important research tools.  Not least the role of the citizen science in public engagement and participatory teaching.

The seminar, of a scientific and operational nature, will be the occasion to introduce the topic of citizen science and explore new partnerships both for the Siena University and with other Tuscan universities and secondary and high schools.
